“Frankly, the location is hard to beat, right on the Yarra River near the Crown Casino and Flinders Street Station; the Langham Club Lounge and Chuan Spa, which offers traditional Chinese treatments, make it truly special. I think it is a great option to consider for Melbourne, as long as the dated décor is not a problem. It offers convenient access to some of Melbourne's best attractions, but don't overlook other options in the area.”

lovely hotel with minor service hiccups
water fountain efficient staff
the entry features a beautiful cascading water fountain and an excellent fresh flower display. the location is central, surrounded by many restaurants, ideal for sightseeing and experiencing local dining. i found the check-in process to be fast and efficient, completed by really kind staff.
I encountered a limited concierge service. The desk was unmanned when i wanted to hire a car. breakfast pricing seemed quite high, even compared to sydney, and it did not match the listed price in the room. this disparity created a small inconvenience.
Rooms
9/10
the room featured idiot-proof coffee machine facilities and perfectly silent air conditioning. i found the bed and pillows amazing which ensured a completely refreshed sleep. the design promoted comfort and convenience.
Facilities
8/10
the hotel has a vast array of restaurants nearby , made dining out very convenient. breakfast had many options and the location had great access to bars and cafés. there was easy access to many entertainment venues.

unreliable wifi poor upkeep
I was frustrated with the wifi. it was essentially unusable. its signal was weak and constantly dropped. i also had issues with the room service one day. My room wasn't cleaned until i called to complain, which should not happen at this price point. the hotel needs to improve its upkeep. The carpets look old.

the location proved central. i found the refilling of tea supplies a thoughtful detail. the pool was well kept (i did several laps). the sauna offered a great way to unwind after a long day.
the valet parking was the only option available and wasn't as flexible as i hoped.
